White Oak Cottages Receives National Design Accolades

WORCESTER, MA - September 2013 - EGA, P.C. and Cutler Associates’ project White Oak Cottages at Fox Hill Village has recently been cited as an AIA Design For Aging Review Merit Award Recipient.  The project was a Design/Build collaboration between the two companies with EGA, P.C. responsible for the design and Cutler Associates responsible for construction.  Located in Westwood, MA, on the campus of Fox Hill Village CCRC, the project consists of two memory support houses of twelve residents each.  As a member of the Green House™ Project, it is the first of its kind assisted living facility in Massachusetts.  Each house incorporates all of the features of the Green House™ model including private rooms, generous home-like commons spaces organized around a central kitchen, dining and living room, and a secure private garden with patio and walking trail.

The project will be featured along with other award winners at the LeadingAge conference in Dallas in October.  In addition, it will be part of a 2013-2014 traveling exhibit, and be included in the Design For Aging Review 12th edition, to be published in 2014.
